  1. Use buzzwords when talking to your clients. It’s cheesy.

  2. Be pushy/salesy: It’s their role to ask for the sale.
  3. Don’t hijack the conversation:  Let your clients talk for most of the meeting. 


  1. Estimate the budget: Know how much your clients have to spend on your services and if they are willing to spend it with you. 
  2. Understand your client’s need/problem: No need = No sale
  3. Use open-ended questions: Why? How? Who? What do you mean? Could you tell me more?
  4. Ask for referrals: Even if for some reason you and your potential client decide not to fo any further, ask if he or she knows someone who might be interested in your services.
